Since 2007, Las Vegas Dermatology® has been serving the Las Vegas Community. We take great pride in what we do and in 2024 our Seasonal Gathering mixed in the Christmas and Hannukah cheer with the first night of Hanukkah and Christmas Day falling on the same day. On average, the 2 holidays overlap roughly every 10 to 20 years for at least one day, but Chrismukkah is a rare event, the exact alignment of their 2 starting dates has happened only 20 times over 2000 years. With a New Year, it’s New Year’s Resolution Time, and maybe this year you will have better looking skin on your goals list. I have already had laser hair removal on my neck, arms and back as well as my 4th Kybella treatment to remove my unwanted neck/chin waddle fat by our New Physician Assistant, Xin Wang (pronounced Zin).
We plan to have 2 big events this year, one- a Day of Beauty introducing our New Providers (Xin Wang, PA-C, Helen Pirtz, FNP-C, and Maria Zarate, LAE) and another being a Grand Rounds for all the Dermatologists in Las Vegas with Interesting patient cases and medical discussions. Both of our events will benefit the Las Vegas Dermatology Foundation, a tax deductible 501c3 taking donations and using funds to educate those interested in Dermatology careers, offering treatments for those with skin disease and sponsoring lectures and community events- checks can be sent to the office or donate via Paypal.
A new treatment modality has joined the Las Vegas Dermatology® office in 2025 called the XTRAC laser– it is a 308nm laser indicated for the treatment of Eczema, Psoriasis and Vitiligo. If your skin condition cannot be controlled with traditional topical, oral or injectable therapy, call to see if our XTRAC laser is right for you. As always, you can still laser away unwanted hair, get PRP injections to grow hair, have a Hydrafacial to treat and clean scalp and skin, obtain a SkinPen® microneedling treatment for anti-aging, use the Sciton BBL to remove redness and brown spots, obtain a Moxi or CO2 Laser for more advanced wrinkle reduction or meet our aesthetician team for products and services to improve your quality of life.
2025 has begun and it’s time to prepare to make the most of it this year. I will be lecturing in South Carolina, Lisbon and San Diego this year and am in the process of putting my own goals list together.
