I’ve been thinking a lot about Divine Providence and if there is such a thing as, “Meant to Be”?  We’ve all been through a lot these past few years, and processing it all will take time.  Frequently, I am left to wonder why certain people are getting Acne, Cysts, Rashes, Skin Cancers, Infectious Diseases and more- many times it just doesn’t feel fair or make any sense.  Fortunately, as a Board Certified Dermatologist, I know that when a patient enters the Las Vegas Dermatology clinic, whether they delayed their care or came in as soon as they noticed a problem, they will get the best possible care and our team will do everything within our power to help provide them with the tools for a Healthier & More Beautiful Life.  By example, a patient last week who was getting hives had blood allergy testing per our protocol, and although I was certain that the newly discovered egg white allergy was causing her hives, it’s more likely that her other new found allergy to Timothy Grass was causing hives because her sister’s pet rabbit uses Timothy Grass in the cage.  A problem was presented and a resolution followed, it was meant to be.

In March of 2021, while the City of Entertainment- Sin City- was on lockdown amidst the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, The Derm Bros® were working hard to provide educational content on our Derm Bros® YouTube Channel Playlist.  We also completed filming a project we named, “Vegas Derm Bros®”- a peek behind the curtain into the lives of the physicians, patients, and staff of the Las Vegas Dermatology clinic.  In putting our story out there, we hope to open your eyes to the Vegas life and what it’s like to be a Board Certified Dermatologist in Sin City, where we treat patients of all backgrounds including the who’s who of the Fabulous Las Vegas Strip.  As a team, we have decided to premier the Vegas Derm Bros® Trailer during our Annual, Las Vegas Dermatology Seasonal Gathering, on our /lvderm YouTube Channel 12/23/2022 at 4pm PST, with segments of the show set to air later in 2023.

Hanukkah started Sunday 12/18/2022, the Festival of Lights, celebrates a miracle of oil set to last only 1 night, but lasting 8 nights.  Bringing light to the world is important, and it makes the world a better place- even in the darkest of places, just a little light can make a massive difference.  At Las Vegas Dermatology, we have lots of fun tools to help you bring in the new year from  botulinum toxins, fillers, kybella, lasers, Sciton BBL, hydrafacial and more.  We are ready to move forward into 2023 with my DermBro, Dr. David Cotter, and team LV Derm.  If you need a tax deduction for 2022, the Las Vegas Dermatology Foundation, a tax deductible 501c3 is taking donations and will use your funds to make the world a healthier & more beautiful place for those with skin disease & those looking for careers in Dermatology- checks can be sent to the office or our Paypal.

The song, Meant to Be by Bebe Rexha says, “If it’s meant to be, it’ll be, it’ll be.  Baby just let it be.”  Many times, it’s hard to know which way to turn; during the 2020🡪2022 pandemic, I told my team that you don’t judge a captain by how they navigate calm waters, you judge them by how they navigate the storm- as captains of our own life’s journey we cannot control the wind, we can only adjust our sails.  Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls we are now exiting the Covid storm and there is nothing but smooth sailing ahead- whatever choice you make, will be the right one.

Happy New Year-

Dr. Vegas

Wishing You and Yours All The Best in 2023.
