In March of 2023, the American Academy of Dermatology’s (AAD) Annual meeting will be held in New Orleans, and I will be there to learn, network with colleagues, meet with the AAD’s Patient Advocate Task Force, interact with industry and hand out festive Mardi Gras Derm Bros® beads with links to our, “Vegas Derm Bros®” Reality T.V. Show Play List on the medallions.  Some physicians are suffering burnout from 2+ years of the COVID pandemic, but I have found that diversifying sources of happiness can make for a more fulfilling and enjoyable life- enjoy my podcast interview with Practical Dermatology and Dr. Joel Schlessinger where we discuss how you too can avoid burnout and make the most of your experiences.  P.A. Joe Gurule has joined the Derm Bros® and we are fortunate to have his expertise, skill and knowledge to compliment the Las Vegas Dermatology team.  With over 30 years of Dermatology experience including multiple decades at our local Veteran’s Affairs Hospital; Derm Joe has appointments available.

At Las Vegas Dermatology, we have multiple clinical trials for everything from Atopic Eczema to Squamous Cell Skin Cancer, and Psoriasis.  Our latest clinical trial involves a novel topical medication for Psoriasis called Tapinarof (Vtama) and involves treatment of psoriasis located to the head and neck- medication for this study is complimentary and there is a stipend.  If you or someone you know has psoriasis, eczema, or squamous cell skin cancer feel free to call the office to see if we have a clinical trial for your condition- many times medications are free and there may be financial compensation.

It’s been an amazing year so far and there will be plenty more positive announcements to share when the time is right.  As a team, we continue to treat AcneCysts, Rashes, Skin Cancers, and more!  We also have lots of fun tools to help you look and feel your best- from  botulinum toxinsfillerskybellalasersSciton BBL, and hydrafacial to the newest skin care products like Alastin and Upneeq.  The Las Vegas Dermatology Foundation, a tax deductible 501c3 is taking donations and will use your funds to make the world a healthier & more beautiful place for those with or without skin disease- checks can be sent to the office or our Paypal.  We are making the most of 2023 with my DermBro, Dr. David Cotter, and Team- The Best is Yet to Come at Las Vegas Dermatology.
