Dermatology Notes from Dr. H.L. Greenberg
Earlier this month I took a “Selfie” to send to a friend and was really bothered and embarrassed by how old and unattractive I thought that I looked. There were some crow’s feet near my eyes that bothered me, and brown spots that I found unsightly. Additionally, I had noticed strange hairs growing on my neck and shoulders and was feeling embarrassed and low about myself for these silly reasons. Although others had complemented me, I didn’t feel happy about my appearance, so I had a laser facial before going to an event one night and some laser hair removal at lunch one day.
We each have a duty to ourselves and to those around us to listen to our inner voice and be the person who we think we should be, to be ourselves! I have had a number of friends recently who have been upset because others have criticized them in one way or another for doing what the other person thought was correct. Being who you are, and having pride in what you do are some of the first steps in creating your own happiness. Going after what you want is an empowering way in which to live your life and achieve your goals. At Las Vegas Dermatology®, we hope to assist you on your journey toward a healthier and more beautiful life.
