Since its introduction in 2000, XTRAC has been used by hundreds of thousands of patients as a safe and effective treatment option. The procedure involves brief office visits, typically two to three times per week, with each session lasting just a few minutes, depending on the area being treated. Numbing is not required, as the treatment is generally well-tolerated and not considered painful. While prior authorization is often needed for insurance coverage, XTRAC is covered by all major insurance companies and Medicare, with patients potentially responsible for standard co-pay or deductible costs.
