Dermatology notes from Dr. H.L. Greenberg
Every year I make a set of goals and prioritize them in order of importance- I make one set of goals for me and one for Las Vegas Dermatology®. My #1 office goal for 2014 is to make each person we treat feel as though they are the most important person in the world. Education is key to a good patient physician relationship; both sides need to be clear about what it is they are trying to achieve. As the physician it is easy; I want my patient healed, I want suspicious lesions removed, rashes wiped away, and wrinkles erased. As a patient there are a multitude of issues besides the obvious issue at hand including fear of the unknown and known. Helping patients feel comfortable with their office visit experience by having my team and I better explain their condition and how we are going to resolve it is one of team LV Derm’s 2014 New Year’s resolutions.
In 2014, Las Vegas Dermatology® is going to have a brand new website to help patients better navigate the resources we have at their disposal. The site will be more in line with our new office space and vision for a healthier and more beautiful life. Additionally, we are going to be opening up an in-office micro pharmacy. This pharmacy resource will enhance our patient’s quality of life in many ways including: convenience, affordability, and shorter waiting times. My goal is for the pharmacy at Las Vegas Dermatology® to be better and more responsive than store pharmacies. Our pharmacy will be able to inquire whether your insurance will cover your prescription in the office, rather than having a lengthy dispute where the medication is too expensive and communication is poor between the pharmacy and the physician office.
Las Vegas Dermatology® strives to have the most advanced dermatology practice in the city- be it through our attitude, customer service, technology, office space, or responsiveness. By the end of 2014, we hope to have an additional provider and be at the forefront of dermatologic care in the city of Las Vegas and the state of Nevada.
Have you made your goals for 2014?
The time to start is now!
