Dermatology notes from Dr. H.L. Greenberg

Whatever you are you waiting for, now is the time to go for it!  I can’t believe how fast 2015 went and how quickly 2016 has started.  Without actively deciding what you want and how to achieve it, 2016 will pass you by and your experience may not be fulfilling.  This is the time of the year to make it happen, whatever it is that you want to achieve.  Making a goal, then taking the necessary steps to achieve it, will allow you to live your dream and feel a sense of accomplishment.

While still a high school student, I was struck by my test pilot next door neighbor, Jim Irwin who studied Geology for 5 years to have the opportunity to be the 8th man out of 12 in the history of the world to walk on the moon.  Irwin inspired me to reach for my dreams and not to be deterred by what seem like insurmountable obstacles.  As I look forward to what is going to be an amazing year in 2016, I’m reminded that hard work always pays off and that if you want something bad enough, now is the time to go for it.  Although it will take time to achieve your dreams, getting clear with what you want and moving in that direction is essential.

2015 was a banner year for Las Vegas Dermatology and myself.  Las Vegas Dermatology’s You Tube channel grew in 2015 with 6 new educational and fun videos- we now have over 1.1 million views.  In 2015, I was featured on the cover of and interviewed in the May/June 2015 MedEsthetics Magazine, with photos of the team inside.  While later in the year, I began a feature article in world famous fashion designer David Tupaz’ Fashion Magazine of the Year, L’Vegue.  I lectured all over the place in 2015:  at the 5 Continent CongressMeeting in Cannes, France, the NewDerm Live MD meeting in Hollywood, California, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Annual Meeting in Chicago on Social Media, at the Vegas Cosmetic Surgery Meeting on Acne, The Skin Disease Educational Meeting at Caesar’s Palace, Grand Rounds to the Internal Medicine Department at UNLV, at Joel Schlessinger’s Cosmetic Surgery Forum on, “Botox Complications” and in Sun City Summerlin to the Seniors.  Miss United States, Summer Priester came by to visit our clinic, we did skin cancer screenings for Neutrogena at Tao Beach, and I was featured as the Doctors Choice Award winner in Dermatology in the City of Las Vegas for a 2nd straight year- 2014 & 2015.
