Seeing an Out-of-Network Provider at Las Vegas Dermatology®

We’re happy you’re choosing to see us for your dermatology care!
Even if your insurance plan lists our office or provider as “out of network,” you still have the option to be seen here.

What “Out of Network” Means
This simply means that our office doesn’t have a contracted rate with your insurance company.
You can still receive care – you’ll just pay at the time of your visit instead of your insurance being directly billed.

How It Works

1. You pay for your visit at the time of service.
2. We give you an itemized receipt (called a “superbill”).
3. You send that superbill and receipt showing your payment to your insurance company using their member portal or mail-in claim form. Please verify directly with your insurance company for what they need and how to submit.
4. Your insurance may:
• Reimburse you directly for a portion of the visit, or
• Apply the amount you paid toward your out-of-network deductible.

Helpful Tips

  • Check your plan: Contact your insurance company to ask about your out-of-network benefits before your visit.
    • Example to ask your insurance:
      • “If I see an out-of-network dermatologist and pay out of pocket, how much can I be reimbursed, and what forms do I need to submit?”
  • Keep your paperwork: Save the superbill and your payment receipt for your records.
  • Ask us for help: Please call us with questions or additional documentation you need to submit.
