Patient Advocacy

Patient advocates do what is best for their patients by putting the patient’s needs first above those of all other involved parties. As a physician, my patients are the most important people in the world and my duty is to provide them with the best care possible. I do everything in my power to make sure that the needs of my patients are met- be it through a proper examination, evaluation, or treatment. At Las Vegas Dermatology we advocate for you by verifying your insurance, obtaining prior authorization for procedures and seeing you in a timely fashion. Sometimes being your advocate may mean a delay in your treatment so that you can properly understand what benefits your insurance provides. At other times, being your advocate means that a procedure or service is performed before a verification of benefits can be obtained so that your health is not put in jeopardy by waiting when time is of the essence.

Las Vegas Dermatology is proud of the work Dr. Greenberg has done to advocate on behalf of the youth of Nevada, helping to achieve an under 18 year old tanning bed ban in the state. Additionally, Dr. Greenberg has donated his time for complimentary safe skin screenings through the Skin Cancer Foundation, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the Sun SafeTee program. Having family members with Psoriasis, Dr. Greenberg has championed this disease by working with the Psoriasis Foundation and America’s Next Top Model to raise awareness and educate the community about this treatable condition. Dr. Greenberg has spoken to multiple community groups: The Jewish War Veterans, Hadassah of Southern Nevada, The Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada, The Jewish Federation of Las Vegas, High-Tech Institute, and The resident physicians at the University of Nevada School of Medicine on various aspects of Dermatology. Las Vegas Dermatology regularly contributes products, services and funds to various charitable organizations in and out of Las Vegas including: Dress for Success, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, College of Southern Nevada Softball Program, Temple Beth Shalom, and The Greenberg Center for Learning and Tolerance.

We realize that as patients you can see any provider in the Las Vegas area, however, you may want to see a known patient advocate at Las Vegas Dermatology, as it is our philosophy to always put the patient first for a healthier and more beautiful life.
